Default Simon is a sneaky gameplayer.

He knew exactly what he was doing last night when he brought on the deadlock. After Ruth's mindblowing version of Purple Rain, he has identified her as a threat to his acts. I know the judges rivalry is intense -- but who in their right mind would do that? It's insane that he would even consider sending Ruth home after that.

i didnt get how it went to deadlock when ruth obviusly did the better performance...
and before he even said that the act who does the better performance should stay....
so it was wierd that he voted ruth to go!

and yerh..their rivalry should be put somewhere else...because it will affect the contestant!

its not about them its about the singers....
and their competing more with each other rather than helping their acts.. -.-

You lot are so naive. Simon knew who was going home, he just did that to justify his non sense about she shoulve listened to him and sing in spanish!
Dont believe anything about these guys! He wouldnt have risk sending ruth home over girlband!

No it doesn't.

It just goes to show the flaws of the x-factor system of judges. The thing is how can they really judge performance and give useful feedback when they are also a mentor to one of the competition.

Cowell is a sneaky game player and he is out to make sure one of his acts gets to the final even though all the female singers are better than all his male singers. His plan is simple undermine all the competition and play on their insecurities. If he say's they are rubbish week in and week out then they will lose their confidence and the public with believe him an stop voting for them.
