Default Simon says: Change broken record

Quote:
Simon says: Change broken record
SIMON Cowell has ordered his fellow X Factor judges to drop a string of cheesy cliches used about contestants.
From this weekend, a host of over-used phrases from the hit ITV1 talent show will be BANNED.

Producers have been complaining about the lines used by Simon, Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole.

Show chiefs have been irked by contestants constantly being told how they have “been on an incredible journey”.

Other familiar lines were: “You made that song your own”, “you nailed that performance tonight” and “you are what this competition is all about”. Simon may now bring in a team of WRITERS to come up with some fresh material.

The X Factor team have been extremely sensitive since Peter Kay’s spoof Channel 4 show Britain’s Got The Pop Factor And Possibly A New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice.

A show source said: “The same old comments are being trotted out every week. They are becoming a cliche. Producers were getting worried that it looked like the judges were on easy street and that they were just repeating the same lines week after week.

“Simon was told that he should bring the rest of the judges up on it too and that it was time to freshen things up.

“He is considering introducing a team of writers to draft some appropriate material to introduce over the coming weeks.

“Before he does that he is hoping his fellow judges will commit to bringing some more original analysis to the table.”

Kay’s spoof show and hit single as “Geraldine” clearly hit a nerve.

Simon said: “I thought the show was clever, but the record was stupid. The single is a pathetic waste of time. He is going to bring out a Christmas single? — I mean c’mon. I don’t feel threatened by him in the slightest.

“I’ve got something in mind for our Christmas single and I know which I would put money on.”

oh thank god. I swear they do say the same thing each week, especially Cheryl, all she evr says to her girls is: 'that was excellent, you've done me proud, you're such a special girl'. EVERY week she says the exact same line!

I just saw this topic: http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/foru...php?tid=101916

And I remembered this one from this morning.

Now why I remembered it was I was asked in another thread if I rather have had Ben win the X-Factor in 2006. The fact was at the time I was a Ben mills supporter, I just loved the harshness in his voice. So to remember what he was like at the time I visited you tube to make sure he wasn't completely rubbish and found this:

And what did I notice? Well, a few of the songs have been done before on the show or have been done again since 2006.

And then I thought of the songs we have seen this series and what do I find stuff that was either done on the X-Factor or Pop Idol in the past.

So it's not only the judges comments that have to be original it the song choices too.

So sort that as well Mr Bighead Cowell!

Blatant performance rip:
- Beverley Series 4 Week 3 Feelin' Good.
- Rachel Series 5 Week 3 Feelin' Good.

Right down to the appearance.

Yeah back to the original point, I hope that's true, I'm so tired of the same lines every week, it's verging on propaganda sometimes just destined to influence voters into liking one person and disliking another.

I'm sick of hearing the same repetative phrases used week after week. The song choices need to be more original, I mean how many times have we heard 'Without you' or 'Lady Marmalade'.
