Each week the public vote then the judges have to choose from the bottom 2.

But what week is it that it becomes just down to the public?

It used to be the when it reached only 4 people left, and only 2 were in the final.


But last year it was when it reached 5 acts left (3 being in the final). Will the same happen this year meaning that after 2 more have been eliminated by the judges it is all down to the public vote?

It depends how many they want in the final. If they want 3 in the final (series 2, 4 and I think they are this year) then they lose their power at the final 5. If they only want 2 in the final (series 1, 3) then its the final 4.

So that means with 7 left, there will be 2 more bottom 2's left.
