Doctors have apparently told Diana Vickers that she can sing again after she missed last week's X Factor show due to a throat infection.

A diagnosis of laryngitis meant the student also lost out on the chance to work with Mariah Carey in the run up to last Saturday's live performance. According to The Mirror, the 17-year-old has now been given the all clear to get back to work.

A show source said: "Diana is desperate to sing and can't wait to get into the studio again. Having to sit out last weekend was painful for her and now she just wants to get back on track.

"She has to catch up with the others and win over the viewers to show that the judges were right to allow her to take a week off. But at the same time she needs to take it easy to begin with so she doesn't strain her vocal chords."

Former X Factor winner Leona Lewis is scheduled to feature on this Saturday's show.

Tbh and I don't want to sound like a dick, but if she hadn't recovered then the show would have had a real "Who's going to win?" edge to it, but now that Laura's gone and she's recovered, she's blatentley going to win.

I'd say those three have a chance, but they'll have to fight like hell to get there. Diana could fart into the microphone for two minutes and get through.

I'd be tempted to add Ruth to that list, but thing is with Ruth she either blows people away or she's goes unnoticed.
