DANI: I WANT TO BE A CELEBRITY AGAIN

SITTING in a cafe, I’m A Celebrity contestant and former pin-up Dani Behr barely registers a second glance from passers-by.

The locals in this part of Australia are used to celebrities – real ones. They play host regularly to the likes of Bill Clinton, Russell Crowe, Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson.

If even these names don’t raise eyebrows around here, our Dan doesn’t stand a chance.

Despite the that fact Behr, 37, one-time heartthrob of a million British men, still cuts a mean dash in a string bikini, she’s relatively unknown.

In her adopted home town of Sydney, the striking blonde is just one among many.

Once a household face during her television prime time presenting The Word and The Big Breakfast, Behr was also an original glamour WAG, snaffling some of the hottest arm candy of her time, namely Ryan Giggs and Les Ferdinand.

Now married, she lives in Sydney with her American husband Carl Harwin, owner of a frozen yoghurt shop, and their children Coco and Zane. It would appear the quiet life agrees with her. “I love Sydney, the beaches and lifestyle,” she adds. “It’s so easy.”

Which begs the question: Why is she putting herself up for another crack at fame, entering the Australian jungle for the new series of I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here? that starts on ITV tonight.

“I’ve never been one to shy away from a challenge, so when the opportunity came up I decided to go for it,” she says. After more than 15 years doing voice-overs, it seems Dani is ready to hit the comeback trail.
