Default X Factor finalists left furious after Diana Vickers\' song is picked as winner\'s single

Quote:
X Factor finalists left furious after Diana Vickers' song is picked as winner's single

Simmering tensions among the X Factor finalists are rapidly reaching boiling point, insiders revealed last night.

The remaining acts are said to be furious at being told they are each to record a song that favourite Diana Vickers has already “made totally her own” as the winner’s single.

Now the 17-year-old’s angry rivals have accused bosses of favouritism.

It comes as friction between the judges stepped up on Saturday night following Rachel Hylton’s exit after losing a sing-off withboy band JLS.

Viewers saw Dannii Minogue break down in tears as Louis Walsh accused her of stealing his act’s song. The Aussie star – rumoured to be facing the axe at the end of the current series – was still fuming as he leaned over to try to kiss and make up.

And there was further outrage backstage as the other acts learned they are to sing Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah as the winner’s song.

A source on set said: “Tempers are running high. They feel it is just the latest in a series of stunts that

have left them wondering if the competition has already been won.

“First there was Diana getting let through one heat because she was ill – although Alexandra was told to keep her exact same illness quiet and perform.

“Then Simon came out at a charity dinner saying his choice to win was Diana. And now they feel the winner’s song has been chosen because it suits her vocals.

“Many suspect producers are paving the way for Diana to win and there is nothing they can do. They feel even if the public put her in the bottom two, the judges will always save her.”

Hallelujah was one of several songs the acts were given to choose from during the boot camp stages. But Diana’s version of the ballad left the judges bowled over, with Louis gushing: “She made it totally her own.”

Anyone who can sing Hallelujah well is a good singer, imo.

Edit: Though JLS will struggle.

Actually, scratch my first post.
Thinking through the final acts... minus Diana - they're all good singers but will struggle with this song. It suits the scratchy vocals of Diana.

This does seem unfair.
Like I said, JLS will struggle most.
It's a haunting solo song, how are a group of happy chappys meant to sing that well?

They see the votes they had to choose the song early im guessing and just went on the earler votes what do you expect?

they put a song that suits daniel and then hes one of the ones with lowest votes and goes out the week after...

same coudl be said with most of them only ruth and alex have a style that could be pretty similar out of who is left...

X fcator is such a farce now. Egg and Diana as the final two will be a joke, they may have fans, but they are also the most hated finalists as well in any series of the X factor.

Although if Ruth makes final 3 she will sing that song well. Fingers crossed.

NO, Alex and Ruth are not similar to that song whatsoever. Ruths low register isnt that good, and that song is mostly whispered! Maybe JLS can do it, because they do pretty good accapela form the auditions. Also Eoghan could!
But this is clearly a fix for her to win the final. Diana will be in the final for sure, but she could lose at that point.

The fact is, they have to sing that song in the final, and they pick a song that suits her style, and she did it in the auditions. So its pretty much tailored for Eoghan and Diana to be final 2, and Diana will win it for sure!

ITS A JOKE!!!! Ive said it long time ago, this just confirms it!

did i say they could? no i said they are the 2 that are most similar to eachother...

Also if this was a song that completely suited like alex.. there wouldnt be all this hate its just because diana has so many fans people who support others always complain about her.

Nobody has ever had a winner single, be a song that they sang during the audition, or that they sang during the show period!!! Enough said, that has never happened before. SO if this article is true, its clearly a fix. If they had a song Alex sang well during the auditions, or JLS or anthing like that, I would have said the same thing.
I am not surprised its Diana, seeing the coments that she gets clearly out of touch with the real world. Everyone knows she was bad yesterday, including her fans, yet they praised her saying how great it was that she was off key. The most ridiculous comment I have ever heard come out of Cowell's mouth!

yeh but 90% of people wouldnt say the same thing.
And to be honest i thought she was good yesterday maybe just the song but i liked it.

and yes im a diana fan. but then i liked eoghan the most this week.

Also cowell was saying how great rachel is when she sang off key much worse than diana but he still praised her every week.

And anyway. they have obviously made a good choice since theres a good chance she will win.

This is a joke now. This X-Factor was supposed to be the best ever but is rapidly descending into farce.

Hallelujah is a song that only fits certains vocal style. The singer doesnt need a great tone or any thing like Sould, blues etc but they do need a very good range. Personally I dont think Diana will do that good a job. I think she'll do a carbon copy of the Jeff Buckley version which I dont think will go down well with a lot of fans of the song.

If this is true then there is no doubt this song was chosen to suit Diana voice. Her voice does fit it the best. However I dont think Diana has the vocal range and subtely to pull it off. But then again even if she doesnt do a great version all the judges and her fans will stay claim it was amazing.

The only way they could've made it more obvious it was a fix was if they chose Cranberries - Zombie as the winners song. They want, and expect Diana to win, it's boring now.

Why are you talking for us Diana fans? most of us, if not all said she was good on Saturday.

Getting back to this, I thought the winners song was Born To Try? or is this just another thing to make Diana look bad, people keep saying X Factor is favouring Diana, she is the choosen one ect, but all this bad press? now this, it doesn't exaclty make Diana look good, however I don't blame Diana, I blame the X Factor people.

Either way she is still my fav, and I will still be voting for her.

During the auditions. I loved Diana. I really did. And when she sang that I loved it and she won it for me.

But since the live shows. Everything has been about her and Laura. I do not want ANY of Cheryls acts to win as thats what the WHOLE competition has been based on.

Diana should not win it. Hallelujah should not be the winners song as its not fair because she sang it through the auditions and that has never happened before that a winners song was sang during a live show contestants auditions. Its not fair and I can see why the other finalists would be raging.

X Factor producers have basically said "hey you guys thanks for being here but as you know we all love diana and she has won"

She was the only person EVER to have a free pass to the next round. And yes she said i dont want it to be known as a free pass but hey guess what? thats what it is. Its a actual joke.

I want her OUT next week.
