Britney: I'm So Boring

BRITNEY Spears is only 26 but the singer reckons she's already an "old fart".

The Toxic star will continue her comeback on this Saturday's X Factor after enduring a turbulent two years.

Britney's career meltdown saw her shave her head, get admitted to hospital twice for psychiatric evaluation, spend a month in rehab and lose custody of her two kids.

But she bounced back in September, winning three MTV Video Music Awards, although she has since compared her new healthy regime to a prison sentence.

On the eve of coming to the UK for her telly appearance, the star who turns 27 on December 2 admitted: "I feel like an old person now.

"I go to bed at like 9.30 every night and I don't go out or anything. I just feel like an old fart."

Britney has been helped get her life in order by her father Jamie, who filed for legal conservatorship so he could oversee her finances and personal affairs.

Her new album, Circus, will be released in the same week she turns 27 and she now gets to see her children - Sean Preston, three, and two-year-old Jayden - three times a week with one overnight stay.

It's reported she only sees the kids' father, Kevin Federline, when picking up the boys and she sounds increasingly bitter at her ex husband.

Britney, who opened her heart to Rolling Stone nine years after her provocative first shoot for the magazine, said: "The kids don't look like their father at all. I think they look like me.

"And it's weird cause they're starting to learn words like stupid and Preston says the f-word now sometimes.

"He doesn't get it from us. He must get it from his dad. I say it, but not around my kids."

The Louisiana-born star added: "I didn't think my husband was gonna leave me.

"Otherwise, I'd be with my babies 24/7. But since they're almost like twins they both take care of each other.

"They're going to pre-school now. I went there to pick them up on Friday and seeing them in their little classroom, watching Jayden being bad or not listening, it's like, those are mine and it's just crazy."

However, some of the trauma of their parents split may have rubbed off on the two boys with Britney admitting they are "obsessed with monsters".

She said: "Every night we look outside and have to show them there are no monsters out there. It's dark, but there's nothing out there, you know."

Britney will appear on The X Factor singing Womanizer this Saturday in an American hits themed night and is also due to make a brief appearance at London's G-A-Y club.

Her For the Record documentary on MTV airs next week.

Her biggest problem is the lack of people around her who truly care for her. Let's face it, 99% of the people in her life are only in it for themselves, and that includes some of her family.
