JUNGLE favourite Joe Swash says he has fallen in love with Star Trek legend George Takei.

And the ex-EastEnders star reckons this year’s most bizarre pairing can become the new Jordan and Peter of the bush.

Joe, who is dating his former co-star Kara Tointon, 24, declared his love for 71-year-old George and admitted it is going to be hard to leave him.

Fans have been puzzled by George and Joe’s wacky relationship and have squirmed in their seats as the pair kissed each other regularly.

George, who is ‘married’ to his gay lover, even got to grips with Joe’s bottom.

Last night Joe explained: “You look at relationships in the jungle like Cerys and Marc Bannerman and Kate Price and Peter Andre and I always wondered if you really could fall in love that quick in the jungle, is it possible?

“And it is, I’m 100% convinced because I love George. I’ve grown to love the man. Being in the jungle does funny things to people, and in my twisted mind I love George.

“I’ve never seen George with a stern face, never seen him get angry, he’s always happy and smiling.”

George said: “From the moment I got here, Joe stood out, he’s so endearing and so alive, completely animated all the time. I love Joe.”

So it seems George has finally got his way after he cheekily told the lad last week: “Don’t worry, Joe. I will turn you. You’ll be gay by the time you get out of the jungle.”
