Season 4 Promo Chris Geere, who plays Drama teacher, Matt Wilding revealed that two former cast members will return for WR4. In an interview, published in the Daily Express Magazine on 1 March 2008, Angela Griffin (former Art teacher Kim Campbell) revealed she will be returning as pastoral care teacher. It was later confirmed her return will air later in the series. Pupil Brett Aspinall (played by Tom Payne) and catering assistant Lewis Seddon (played by Craig Fitzpatrick) will not be returning. Student favourites Maxine Barlow (played by Ellie Paskell), Janeece Bryant (played by Chelsee Healey) and Chlo Charles (played by Katie Griffiths) will all be returning. However Chlo's sister Mika Grainger (played by Lauren Drummond) will not be returning, according to the offical Waterloo Road website, Mika has now left Waterloo Road and has gone to university to study. Series 4 will begin on BBC One on Wednesday 7 January 2009 at 8pm with a 90-minute opening episode. It has also been confirmed that Eva Pope, (who plays headteacher Rachel Mason) and Christine Tremarco (who plays Davina Shackleton) will be returning, despite months of speculation. New characters include: Rob Cleaver (played by Elyes Gabel) - New PE teacher. Denzil Kelly (played by Reece Douglas) - Youngest Kelly member. Earl Kelly (played by Reece Noi) - Member of the Kelly "Family from Hell". A 15-year old student described as a "borderline psychopath". Marley Kelly (played by Luke Bailey) - New student. Eldest member of the Kelly family. Rose Kelly (played by Elaine Symons) - The mother of the Kelly's. Sambuca Kelly (played by Holly Kenny) - New student. Member of the Kelly family. Flick Mellor (played by Sadie Pickering) - New student. Dave Miller (played by Tim Healy) - New school Security Guard. Melissa Ryan (played by Katy Carmichael) - Appointed Head of Extended Services. She is also Rachel's sister. Phillip Ryan (played by Dean Smith) - Melissa's son. Maaka Lacey (played by Sheraiah Larcher) - Maori supply teacher. |
