Default I knew they\'d do this

Doesn't look like they have brought back voting from Republic Of Ireland, after they got rid mid-series last year. What an absolute joke!??

On the OS it lists 'Nominations UK', but nothing about Ireland. Grrr.

You must be pretty pissed off lol but it doesn't effect me anyway because I live in England and I don't vote so I'm not really bothered. They shouldn't have stopped the Irish vote because that is a lot of money a series that they're saying no to.

They don't make money from phone votes anyway.

They made no money from it in 2007 and I'm sure they made no money from it this year either.

From BBC News:
"Channel 4 has said it will not profit from phone lines on the eighth series of Big Brother, after controversy over its handling of a previous vote.

It has halved the cost of taking part in the eviction process to 25p per call, with 15p spent on administration fees and the rest going to charity."

Nope, or IAC.

I could understand when they axed Irish voting in Britains Got Talent. But not for BB!?? Especially when they show auditions in Ireland. C4 own the right to BB in the UK and Ireland, so we should be allowed to vote. I'm not a happy camper.

That BGT thing is ridiculous if they audition in Ireland and then cut the votes from there!

Didn't they have some serious technical difficulties with voting since Belinda's phone line broke or something? Who was she against anyway I can't remember...

C4 bought the rights to BB in Ireland? Whats the point in that? It doesn't even broadcast terrestrially in Ireland or have an Irish version/branch of the channel to air it on. Pretttty pointless axing the voting btw since Ireland has almost just as much involvement in the show as the UK.

C4 does broadcast terrestrially in Republic of Ireland, as does E4. In fact we have it better than UK atm If only we could friggin vote!!

I think thats really bad
Maybe they aren't getting enough votes from Ireland to meet the costs.
