Can this really be happening after waiting all through the christmas rubbish on the telly with the only light at the end of the tunnel to have CBB live feed - BB Bosses have robbed the lightbulb, please bring back the light (or red button)

Nope, because on live feed most of the time they censor it with nature sounds, and nothing interesting happens, plus some people must have things to do then watch live feed all day... They make highlights for a reason, so that you can watch whats happened in the whole day in the space of an hour.

1) We can just dip in whenever we want. No-one has to watch it all day.

2) Some BB fans are housebound themselves and enjoy having the live feed on as they interact with others on the forums.

3) The idea of BB is that the Housemates are being watched all the time. In this series of CBB they are aware that the live feed is only on at certain times (Coolio is just reported to have said "Oh my God, it's on") so they are only "performing" for the cameras part-time.

Exactly.

I rarely ever watch live feed but Channel 4's decision to axe it has annoyed me nonetheless. It's a fundamental factor of Big Brother that you're able to follow events in the house twenty four hours a day, so without a 24hr live feed it feels like the heart has been ripped out of the show.
