Default Learning to drive

Ive been learning to drive for a while now and ive just done 40hours worth of lessons. Does anyone know what the average is now as my instructor hasnt mentioned putting me in for my test yet and it seems like im not learning anything anymore im just driving around and feel confident enough to drive on my own now?

So whats the average or reccomended amount of hours learning to drive?

Changes for everyone. If you genuinely feel confident and happy, ask your instructor to put you in for it now.

Some people only need a few hours (though they usually already know how to drive before learning), some need over 100 hours.

You done your theory?

When you feel ready!

Put in for your test now, it can take upto 8weeks for the test date... Don't let him milk you!

Can take more than 8 weeks sometimes andy.

It all goes on confidence.

Usually older people are less confident with learning.

You should've done you're theory a long long time ago (like after about 10 lessons)

sounds like the instructor is only after profits and doesn't really want to help
