Technical Question
Hi,
So I know alot of people are bored to death with the whole live feed debate, but I have to ask, what actually goes in to it? I mean where do the costs go? is it really that expensive?
My guess is that there are people in the gallery 24/7 watching the screens, obviously that has to be turned into a feed that can be aired, so extra people have to be hired to do that, can't be more than 5 I'dve thought? The cost of electricity on top of what they already use can't be too much. Then they have to pay for a channel (I've heard something about a transponder?) Which they already have, and used for CBB. I suppse a 'Big Brother Live' title screen would have to be paid for too.
So what else goes into the production of a live feed?
According to the 'insider' at iBB they are still weighing up the pros and cons (which I'm not so sure I believe) But I suppose the biggest con would be cost, so I just wondered. But IMO the biggest con of scrapping live feed would be the drop in viewers a la CBB.
What would I know lol!!! (Thats why I'm asking!!!)
