Don't you think that Davina's yearly salary of about £1 million is shocking?! (£400,000 per series).

This is nearly 4 times more than the most powerful person in the country- pm Gordon Brown.

It's terrible when you consider that a lot of that money cuold have been invested into making the actual house better or actually reinstating live feed.

I'm furious with the Channel 4/Endemol chiefs.

She's not even a good interviewers. In her pomp, she was fine. But the decline has been huge over the last few years, and her persistence with exploiting fauxmances are irritating.

I wish they would get rid of her, or at least pay her less in thsi time of recesision.

Oh yeah for sure. Around £250,000 per year when I last heard.

It's ridiculous that Davina is getting paid close to a million for preseting a few shows per year.

What happened was that they cut her salary from £500,000 to £400,000.

But she now gets paid an extra £100,000 to front Big Mouth once a week for 30 mins.

So she gets the same salary, for little more work.

It's hideous.

Hmm - well, we don't know that's her salary for definite, but £100,000 an ep for Big Mouth seems excessive. I bet Jack Whitehall wasn't paid that.

Hardly that much more work, though.

The rehearsals shouldn't take that long as the presenter doesn't even do much talking on Big Mouth.

It's an excessive amount for a poor interviewers and mediocre presenter.

but she is the face of Big Brother and it wouldn't be the same without her
Its not her wages fault that there is no live feed or lack of funds for anything else, thats Endemol not budgeting right. C4 paid £180million for the show so compared to that figure I think Davina's wages isn't too shocking and is line with most presenters of top shows

The live feed issue is nothing to do with Endemol.

It's all Channel 4's fault. They have put out that statement that it's all about costs, but I doubt it. It's all about CONTROL.

Countries like Afghanistan and Kazakhstan can afford live feed for their Big Brothers. An MEDC like our country should be able to, even with the credit crunch.

Channel 4 are spoilt idiotics mogrols.

I admit Gordon Brown in a crap PM, but it's one of the hardest jobs in the country. He deserves a good salary.

But I don't think Davina is a "good presenter". She's OK, but that's it. It's no surprise to me that she's never won any 'Best Presenter' award until last month at those crappy reality tv awards.

She's synonymous with the show I admit. But I don't think that she deserves so much money to stand there for a few minutes talking per week.

Oh well... that's life.
