I went to Body Gossip at The Hub, Kings Cross in London on Sunday night, Nikki was there with her mum and i had the most amazing experience meeting them both (i had met Nikki before but not her mum) her mum is really lovely and thanks all Nikki's fans for their love and support. I got my pic took with Nikki and she kindly signed my copy of her book Dying To Be Thin, she was surprised when i told her i had finished reading it already, i told her i thought i knew a lot about her but i didnt know anything! Nikki is really proud of her book and so she should be, she said its got everything - its my life story! Sue (Nikki's mum) let me read Nikki's script before the show started and not realising it was almost ready to start, Nikki came upto me to ask for it, i didn't realise i was keeping her waiting !! - and so it was me that gave her, her script before she started.
The bodygossip show was brilliant amongst the other celebs were Ann Diamond and Natalie Cassidy from Eastenders, Nat and Nikki are good friends and so i got talking with Nat, she is really nice and friendly.
The emotional highlight though was when Nikki met Claire, a lady same age as Nikki, who unlike Nikki is still battling Anorexia, Nikki was ever so gentle and caring for Claire and spent ages hugging the obviously overcome Claire. Sue was telling me about how Claire had written to Heat mag and they'd passed her letters on to Nikki via her agent and Nikki has been writing back with help and advice and they have build-up a friend through their shared experiences, they had met once before in a massive fluke just passing in a shop!!
The night ended with a hug and a kiss for me from the lovely Nikki before she left.
There was so much more then i can tell you, but i spent most of the night with Sue and Nikki and it was a dream come true for me.
