I'm doing English Literature AS level. For my coursework I had to write an essay about Frankenstein and, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde I've done that essay but today I learned we also had to do a bibliography and tomorrow is the deadline for it all to be in So does anyone know whether a bibliography will carry enough marks to be more beneficial than me doing revision for exams I have tomorrow?

i know for me that the bibliography isn't marked: (scotland) it's simply to tell the marker what sources you've used? EDIT: for God's sake don't put Wikipedia in!

If you mean bibliography as in the references page, do that and then revise? My bibliography is usually over 5 pages long and it doesn't take me much more than an hour to do. (Btw my bibliography is only so long cos it's degree, not AS).

The thing is I have used no references and I can't find any which relate it to my essay apart from Wikipedia I have been looking for about a hour and still nothing else In the bibliography do I just list websites and books I have used or do I have to say what information I got from those websites and books and back up with quotes?

Gimme a sec Spike, I'll see if I can find some references for you that you can pretend you used to look smart. I have access to a lot of academic papers. What kinda thing is the essay about? Frankenstein and Jekyll & Hyde?

Jekyll and Hyde Saposnik, I. S. (1971). The Anatomy of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Studies in English Literature, 1500-1900. Rice University. (This paper talks about the combined nature of evil and good in the story - so you can basically put it in your bibliography and pretend you used it).

Thanks for that, I have done most of it now but I don't even think I actually need to do one now. The teacher we have doesn't know what she is doing and I have just contacted my other English teacher and she said we don't need to do one I am getting really annoyed at the bad teaching at my college.
