Default House Meeting!

Quote:
Hardliner Derek is on a mission to clean up the House. The political speechwriter called a general meeting to discuss hygiene, sleeping habits and some other hot topics.

Using all the powers of his political rhetoric, Derek had the Housemates behaving like obedient school children during the House meeting. The group raised their hands in support of, or opposition to, Derek's many Housekeeping motions.

"I think we need to really decide what time lights go out in the bedroom." Derek said. "And we've got to rigorously enforce it," he added firmly. He then pointed out that there are plenty of places for people to be loud in if they so desire, but that the Bedroom is not a place for a party.

Most of the Housemates were thinking what Derek was thinking, even laidback lothario Roberto had to agree, voicing his consent as he reclined by the pool.

But Makosi tried to stir up trouble by objecting to various motions, and setting off a flurry of chatter.

I hate people that try to set to many rules - I myself do not fair to well with forced rules and if I were a housemate I would be likely to do my best to break all of his silly, annoying rules. I think that most will be mature enough to show each other a little respect without being told they have to.

I think if I were in there, I would be wanting to do the same sort of thing as Derek, and just set a few boundaries. But I bet he will get a few nominations because of it.

I thought it was a good idea what Derek did but theres bound to be a few housemates who would'nt have been too happy about it, i know it sounds stupid but if certain housemates cant find a reason to nominate then they will vote Derek just for holding a meeting.

still dont like the idea of one person trying to lead the way forward by setting rules - if they agree to his rules they are setting him up as the group leader and that will only cause friction - I agree that there has to be compromise so everyone is happy but am not sure I like the way he did it
