Default Should prositution stay illegal?

I think no because if a sexually frustrated man can go to a prostiute to 'relieve some tention', that could stop him going out and raping some young girl.

That's the way I see it.

I know it is, but my question is 'Do you think that it should be illegal?' very simple.

What's your opinion?

Making it illegal will only make it go 'underground' and will not prevent it from occuring
It should however, be illegal for politicians, I expect they can claim for hookers on expenses as well? lol

If it stays illegal then it can't be controlled, a large percentage of women are forced into it through drug addictions and immigration. If it was legal we could have rules and regulations to protect women from being exploited and to make it safer healthwise.

It should be legal, there should be places to do it.

Eg they have a club for it, with prostitutes in it, therefore they will have security if they need help.

If they do it on the street any bloke could shag them and not pay them etc..

They need to do it inside where they will be security.

it should be legal so the girls should they wish to go down that route will have a support network in place help and access to drugs programmes (which is commonly a reason girls do it) plus surely a girl doing it in a proper place is far safer than in a car in a dark alley somewhere i think that if it were legal those girls in ipswich would still be alive now

Rest assured that high quality
is for certain and your satisfaction is guaranteed.'

Now if only the bleedin' Police could say that.

Maybe the UK ITV Bill series should do a episode like this.

Ł100 a hour hooker
who is a WPC.

Northern Coppers

Sign Of The Times.

I dont think it should be illegal. Its a excellent profession. Paid to have sex. Yes some clients are munters but you dont need to fancy someone to do them.
Plus if it was legal, prossies would be like yes i am employed by bla and pay tax and the government would make more money and we all know they like that kind of thing.
Plus plenty of MPs to go "massage rooms" for eh.. a chill out.

If you legalise prostitution then job centres may start pushing woman into that profession, whether they want to or not by threatening to cut off their benefits.

See what happened in Germany

This makes the state into a pimp

Is that right?

My god you really do see conspiracies everywhere. Do you really think the government would force unemployed people (There's such things as male prostitutes) into prostitution if they didn't want to? It's quite frankly a ridiculous thought.

sticks job centres dont force people into jobs they wouldnt be happy doing i've been for my lone parent thing today and they ask if there is anything you would like to do and get you on the right courses and stuff to help with that they certainly wouldnt turn round and say your a woman on benefits your only option is to become a sex worker

But in 1993 something similar did happen in the UK

A woman was removed from long term sick and given a list of jobs they thought she could do.

One of them was a nude model at the local art college.

It was reported on ITN

The job centres work on quotas and targets. I was told this many years ago by an insider. They will do what it takes to get you off of the unemployment register.

If you are offered a job you can not turn it down, those are the rules.

Many years ago, when I was looking for work, I was in the job centre and asked for the detail about a certain job. I discovered that the further details meant it was something I could never had applied for had I seen the details in full. but because I had asked at a job centre for details about it, I was asked to account why I had not applied or loose my benefits.

yeah but this is 2009 not 1993 things have changed i've seen it first hand myself this morning they didnt tell me i have to go back to work or my benefits will be stopped they are happy for me to continue as i am until at least january when my daughter is in school and they gave me today the names of courses and who runs them for getting me into a classroom assistant job which is what i will be doing they also gave me other options in the same job field as i come from a childcare background
in all fairness sex worker and nude model for a art course are miles apart so cant even be considered in the same arguement and yes you can turn down a job no point in doing a job you dont like or are rubbish at
