I don't mind IMO, but when I say something and someone says "Well that's in your opinion, it's not fact!" Well ****ing duh, I obviously BELIEVE it to be true, otherwise it wouldn't be my opinion. I aint gonna think something and have it as my opinion eve if I don't agree with it, haha.

No, I've seen examples where someone's said something like "she's a **** musician."

Common sense should tell you that that statement can, in no possible way, be a 'fact'.

Yeah but you inevitably get the nitpicking sod who calls you out on it being your opinion and not a fact, hence the need for IMO when you're saying something vaguely controversial.

Plus there is AFAIK, which stands for "As Far As I Know"
