Default \"IMO\".

What the hell is the point in saying this? Or quoting someone else and saying "in your opinion."?

Of course it's my sodding opinion, if it was Gandhi's opinion I would have made it implicitly clear.

In my opinion, this thread speaks much sense.

Because if someone doesn't state that its their opinion, they're stating it as a fact.

I don't mind IMO, but when I say something and someone says "Well that's in your opinion, it's not fact!" Well ****ing duh, I obviously BELIEVE it to be true, otherwise it wouldn't be my opinion. I aint gonna think something and have it as my opinion eve if I don't agree with it, haha.

No, I've seen examples where someone's said something like "she's a **** musician."

Common sense should tell you that that statement can, in no possible way, be a 'fact'.

I think it fits, if say everyone in the thread is saying on thing, then you say IMO, I think the opposite - if that makes sense Xx

Yeah but you inevitably get the nitpicking sod who calls you out on it being your opinion and not a fact, hence the need for IMO when you're saying something vaguely controversial.

Of course there is the other variant, IMHO which is "In My Humble Opinion" which I see elsewhere

Plus there is AFAIK, which stands for "As Far As I Know"

Then there is TPTB, "The Powers That Be"

However, since we are not allowed to use text speech, I would like to know if we can use IMHO, AFAIK or TPTB

I use IMO all the time :\
I tend to use it to round up my post, so i'll say stuff, then finish it off with 'IMO, it's the worst song on the album' or something.

Forget that, what about the twats all over the internet who feel the need to sign off at the bottom of EVERY post even though their display name is tagged along to it anyway? Pretentious bunch of muppets.
