OK we've had the 'royal announcement' but why now is Kate Middleton all of a sudden "Katherine Elizabeth Middleton" ???

I know it's her full name. I'm not stupid. I'm saying that all of a sudden people are referring to her as that when she's always been 'Kate'. She gets engaged and it's all of a sudden "Catherine Elizabeth" just cos she's marrying William.

She hasn't. The press have started referring to her by her full name, thats what I'm saying. Now she's engaged to Prince William she's all of a sudden Catherine Elizabeth..... She was and IS Kate!

Her birth name as she is now engaged. She would be married with that name, not a false one unless she has changed it my depol.

But her friends and family etc will still call her Kate. The point Kerry was making which you seem to have missed is that its the press who have gone all formal since the announcement of the royal engagement.

Her full name was the same before the engagement. It hasnt changed, only the way they have started referring to her.

And she doesnt have a marital name because she isnt yet married.
