Kerry Katona has reportedly accepted a £250,000 offer to appear in the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.

The reality TV star's career hit another low last month when she parted company with her management team, Can Associates, and revealed she was on the verge of being made homeless.

Troubled Kerry claimed she had six-figure debts and just £400 in the bank - and it seems that situation motivated her to say yes to the Channel Five show.

A friend of the mum of four's told the People: 'She is totally up for Big Brother, she can't believe her luck.

'This has come at the right time as the money will get her out of a deep hole. She's so skint she can't even get a contract for a mobile phone.'

Channel Five bosses will be hoping Kerry proves value for money by revealing details of her failed marriages and battle with drugs to viewers and fellow housemates during the four-week show.

The former Atomic Kitten star, who is rumoured to have renewed her friendship with ex-boyfriend Adam Waldron, was due to appear on Celebrity Big Brother in 2009, but the deal fell through when she failed pre-show psychiatric tests.

Disastrous .....

Another reason to give BB a miss - she'll be another Marsh .....

Me personally - she would be a reason I'd not watch - I'd have to be lured in by other celebs. Honestly - as I say - we've seen, heard, and read every possible thing there is to Katona - so for me personally - I'd rather watch and listen to someone I didn't know a lot about.

Big Brother fans will watch no matter who actually goes in there. Thing is we all know about Kerry because of the numerous shows she does and that ITV2 crap that she does. She could do with the money, she'd probably go in

I agree. My point was if it filled with celebs like Katona - I most likely wouldn't - as it would be like Groundhog day.

It would be other celebs that I may not know much about that would draw me in.

Like you say: she needs the money... in fact. No I take that back. How the hell does she need the money. She's been bankrupt for years and still manages designer clothing, holidays abroad on a whim, expensive cars ...... there's money coming from somewhere to allow her to lead a life still that not many ordinary bankruptees(?) can.

I agree, I would prefer other celebrities to go in, perhaps another Jackson? or somebody similar to them like somebody who used to be huge in America years ago or something. I personally thought the last CBB was the best ever so they should try to keep with that, use it as a benchmark. However there will always be some random bint we have never heard of or who is only famous for sleeping with somebody famous!

One of the Jackson clan, I'll go with that ! Stephen Baldwin was a good catch too..... mad but almost hard NOT to watch! Some of the older 'big' names who have been on - some of their stories are fascinating to listen to. Oddly enough: it's the ones that you think would be totally stuck up, never muck in - who actually do the opposite.

Have images of Jackie Stallone - total fruitcase but as funny as hell.

Me too, some people have said some downright cruel things about her but on certain things the criticism has been justified.

Fair enough if they dislike her but no-one is perfect and we all make mistakes.

Most adults tend to learn from their mistakes: especially when they have the responsibilty of 4 young children to consider.

That's the reason I no longer want her on my TV screen.

Whatever she's done no-one can doubt that Kerry loves her kids, she seems to be doing fine having got off the drugs.

I didn't infer she doesn't love her kids (I know you didn't suggest that either). It's abundantly clear that the bond between them all is a fantastic one - it's the only part of her that I actually like.

But her life and the manner in which she runs it; has led to these 4 young kids having different men in and out of her life, being uprooted several times over the past 2 years, having to move to new homes, new people in and out of their lives.

For the woman who says she wants her kids to have the stable life that she never had: she's not really learning much from any of her mistakes.

The kids might not want for anything on a materialistic side: but they are most certainly not experiencing any form of stability in their young lives. Mother on drugs or not.

In fact: it shows that even when she has been 'clean' for over a year: she is still making the same decisions as she was when she was out of her face.

And so it continues.

However she is stupid if she is bankrupt. She needs to get rid of her big house and flashy cars then! Suppose it's hard for celebs to give up the "finer lifestyle" but I have no sympathy for her if she's in debt.

Also doubt she will get on anyway. She won't pass the psychological stage.

KK has no big house - Can Man paid the rent for her previous mansion and I believe that Can TV is picking up the tab for her current residence ..... her husband Mark Croft was the one with a penchant for flashy cars .....
