I have issues with it,imo ANYONE who kills animals purposely is lacking compassion,dislike cruelty in any shape or form.

He may have said he "enjoys hunting game" but probably doesn't even know what that really means. Firing a shotgun would probably put him on his arse.

No, he shoots competitively. That's why he was the best shot when they did that sheriff task. I'm still wondering why people lose their damn minds over the idea of someone hunting as if it's a criminal act. I also wonder if they've ever set foot outside a city before.

What does he shoot competitively? I see that he belongs to "shooting and countryside societies" at university, but that doesn't mean he's ever shot in a competition. I can see him wandering around posing in tweeds and a pair of Hunter wellies but actually shooting?

I own a shotgun and shoot clays. I live in the countryside although I'm a Londoner. I personally can't see the fun in killing something for fun. That's if they're a good enough shot to actually kill it and they don't just wound it so it crawls away to die. Culling and keeping down populations of certain animals is different, but killing something for sport is abhorent to lots of people, and that includes many people who live in the country.

On the upside, if he wants to go to Africa to shoot penguins, the safety of the penguins is guaranteed - they're protected and the only one killing them is fishermen stealing all their food. I guess that's ok, though, because fish aren't as cute as penguins.
