Just wondering what your take is on Julian Clary!. Do you think hes going to win the show?

I haven't really taken to him like alot of other people have, I don't get why he's seemingly everyones favourite?

I am prepared to keep an open mind as I haven't got a clue who to support yet!

Hes a little cold, removed maybe a bit overly sarcastic, but not sly. To be sly he'd have to give a s**t what others thought of him and he clearly doesn't, hes exactly what you'd expect from a battle hardened old queen - and really sly is the last word Id use to describe him.

not all queens are as bitter shallow cold manipulative judgemental narrow minded sad and sly as him, thankfully. hes not even chatty just mean and unoriginal

I like Julian but have to say I'm now starting to wonder if he can win CBB. The demographic of the voting public I think is much younger than people realise. It may be that he does not have the populist appeal required to win this show. He is very funny and has a wonderful darkly dry sense of humour, but all the gay references may be a little 80's for the current voting audience.

I'd say he's one of the favourites to win and very popular, it depends if he can hold it up throughout the show which I think is likely.

Could someone explain this "the occasional table" gag as the humour completely evades me. At first I thought Julian was mocking the Situation's decision to reinvent and brand himself to make a more lucrative living, but remembering that immediately dismissed this as that would be ludicrous as Julian's eternally in character. Hence it must be something very clever and far from hypocritical.....

It's partly because he has an equally ridiculous actual nickname & an occasional table isn't very important & isn't very useful most of the time...

Honestly, something's telling me that Julian's chances of winning will gradually decrease as the show goes on. I might get proven wrong, but it's a gut feeling I'm getting.
