Hi everyone! I just wanted to share some fun facts about the 21st of December with you all. Here are the fun facts.

#1. A millennium is 1,000 years. The Mayans thought that a millennium is 4,000. In that case the Mayan millennium is ending on that day.

#2. The Mayan calendar ends on the 21st and ours leap year calendar ends on the 31st. So, we are starting a new calendar on the 22nd.

#3. Some people believe that the world will not end because they think that 3 of the planets in the Milky Way galaxy will line up with the pyramids of Giza.

Those 3 fun facts equal the point that the world will not end on 21 December 2012.

.....many doomsayers hang onto the idea that this ancient calendar is a ticking time bomb that signals our fast-approaching demise during the 2012 winter solstice..... While scholars pay little heed to these fervent forecasts, they're still interested in the calendar.... there is some lingering disagreement over which day marks the exact beginning of the Mayan calendar.....one commonly referenced date is August 11, 3114 B.C., although other researchers pinpoint dates such as August 13, 3114 B.C.....which would actually shift the big day to December 23......

...better to leave the gift buying until Christmas Eve...
