Really gets my goat this, i think im pretty straight to the point woth people. If anyone trys to talk to me about anyone else or gossip i just say i either oant interested or tell them to bring it up with that person or people.

I today heard 2 people talking about me i not the nicest of ways, 1 of these people i have acted a bit like a mentor to and classed them as a friend the other person is just someone i work with (we get on for the sake of gettig the job done) i am really upset that the person i mentored would do this, they basically destroyed me from everythkng i do to how i look. (I iant that bad looking lol) . It wasnt easy to hear this, whilst theycwere talking i just walked into the office smiled and said its a bit unfortunate that ive just heard that, then i walked out.

Working with them again on friday. So dissapointed.

LOL @ that cat and yes,I think most people bitch it's just some people seem to relish in adding little bits and are purposely nasty,I'm like you I really dont care as I know for a fact ,come face to face and on their own,you wouldn't see these peoples arses for dust.

Exactly. I only work with them. I can't stand most of them. There are are very few nice people in there. The more i work there the less of them i like!

..you've mentored this person and it's a reflection on them and not you..you can't make people appreciate you or what you've done or how kind and patient you've been...if they don't then you have to know that it says nothing about you..you behaved well and they didn't...try not to take it personal and to realise that they're really just disrespecting themselves and not you....your character is completely intact Peter...

well we don't really know that he has.

Seriously though it takes a strong character to say...I don't do this talking behind backs stuff, unfortunately it goes on in I would hazard a guess 100% of workplaces and most of us will have been spoken about at some time or other. You did the right thing bringing it to their attention that you had heard.

I dont talk about people at all cherie, i have been so supportive to this one person who after struggling at first and having the majority of the workplace against her has turned into a pretty decent worker and the staff that didnt particuly like her have become pally and respectful to her and that is pretty much down to me.
As i said to ammi its hard hearing what people think of you. I suppose i just feel really let down
