In 2003, Tommy Wiseau finished working on his brainchild, "The Room", a movie of comedy, drama, love and life. Writing, Directing and staring in the piece, it told the story of a man named "Johnny", and the trials he faced in dealing with the affair between his future wife and his best friend, Mark. With a drug related side story from his non-son Denny, Future mother in law Juliette's 10 second battle with breast cancer and a framed picture of a spoon, it was clear to any and all viewers that the art of cinema would never be the same.
Now, 10 years after The Room was unleashed upon us, Tommy's costar, Greg Sestero has written a book about the film, called "The Disaster Artist", and the opportunity to plug Tommy's work has never been higher. Now is the time my friends, for Tommy Wiseau in Celebrity Big Brother.
The Room is genuinely a cult classic due to its theatrical terribleness, and Tommy Wiseau is as big a name as anyone who appeared in CBB12. As well as this:
- He still hasnt made a profit from The Room and likes getting paid
- He is a complete eccentric, and would be unpredictable
- He is just self-aware enough to play along
- He is a mysterious man, unknown origins and all that.
So I beg of you, ladies and gentlemen, for the sake of British reality television, we need a hero, a renegade, a loose canon, a ladies man. We need Tommy Wiseau.
