I've noticed the amount of die-hard Shilpa fans this series, and it reminds me of the 'kara' days back during BB7, when Aisleyne was over-liked, and ended up having half the forum hate her as a result of it.

Im afraid if all these fans start screeching 'VOTE SHILPA' like they did with Aisleyne, I'm going to completely go off her, like I did with Aisleyne.

Haha, there's an awful lot of hardcore fans I have to admit. Constantly sticking it down our throats that we should vote for Shilpa.

It's not doing her any favours because now I refuse to vote her on principal cos they keep telling me too!

I don't like or dislike Shilpa I think she is interesting but I wouldn't want her to win because she hasn't the kind of personality I like...in a way she is very quiet and nice and most of the time nice isnt always good enough to win shows.

It is good to see Shilpa has brough lots of fans to big brother that is nice to see. But people should want her to win for more reasons than one. Voting wise I think people are being ripped off voting for Shilpa to stay because to me it seems clear cut who its between and Shilpa isn't one of them she will stay.

I see what you're saying, the only difference for me being that I disliked Aisleyne at the beginning of BB7, whereas I'm loving Shilpa right from the beginning of this one, lol. Despite my feelings of Aisleyne though, her 'die-hard' fans kept voting and stuck by her and she ended up coming third, which is hardly bad. I'd be well pleased if Shilpa went into the top 3!

As well as that, you can't compare the fans of Shilpa who are posting at the moment to kara - kara was just really argumentative and kept coming out with random, absurd comments.

As hard as it may be at times, judge Shilpa or any HM for that matter based on exactly what you think, the way they are in the house (and it's not like she's been in for that long!) etc.

I see youre point, but its not the same for me because i hated Aisleyne anyway, but i like Shilpa, so i doubt i will end up disliking her just because her fans. Aisleyne's were way worse anyway.

The whole point of the show is forming your own opinion and you shouldn't let others tint your views. Sure you can agree to disagree with people but because there are die hard fans in numbers posting a forum doesn't always mean they are voting on their telephones. I just hope people vote for her because they like the whole package not just for her looks or her race.

It wouldn't affect me personally.
And it could be the same for any other HM.
That's fair enough if you end up despising her, but that won't make much of a difference to her fan base as these Shilpa fans (me included in fact) are going to stick by her just the way Aisleyne fans stuck by Aisleyne (despite the fact I was in the minority in disliking her!) So she'll probably end up doing well anyway.

Give her as a HM a chance though, the show's pretty much just started, and it'd be a shame if you started 'despising' her or any housemate so early on due to no fault of their own.

It wouldn't normally affect me, but I couldnt help it with Aisleyne. The minute they started telling me to vote for her, I thought 'I can't do it'

and Shilpa's fans are already starting to irritate me, 4 days in.

I think if someone rivals your favorite you can feel a bit off with the person and tactically you can dislike the person because they rival whoever you like.

The thing is, its not even a hard choice. Shilpas is a lovely girl and its obvious she should win anyway. Its not like you didnt know already. Aisleyne was a bit different init. She had bad attitude which didnt sit well with some folks.

The fact that she's pretty, had fans beforehand...all of it adds to it, definitely. And she's nice as well. As for other things, I still don't see how we can judge yet - who honestly has done anything majorly entertaining at all yet, apart from Donny showing a lot of attitude on the first night?

There's been no tasks, no amazingly interesting twists (let's see how they get on with this one)...but I'm still going to give them all a chance as it may just be taking them time to really come into their own.

Thats very true Ash. So far I think the reason I like Danielle is because her little one-liners she makes are funny. Cleo has been pretty entertaining so far.

But when the dressing up , making them look silly tasks come, we'll see who really shines!

Yeah we need to see how people develope but wanting her to win on her looks or race alone (which are the two main things people have talked about) is not enough in my opinion. As I have said if she was another 10 stone I think her fanbase would be halfed atleast..the same really with any other "pretty" celeb.

I guess for some thats true, for others its not.
I've always liked the thick, cute people.

I liked Jade- not the prettiest of all the housemates ever, and definately not the thinnest- yet I still love Danielle.

She is who she is, you cant start movin the goal posts now. the fact is she is slim an sexy, attractive, elegant, beautiful, classy and all that ****, and its about time we had someone like that on telly, instead of rancid old dogs like Jade and Janice Battersby!!

Jade had a huge personality whether you loved it or not but Shilpa remains a very quiet in the background person which doesn't make a winner imo. I know its early days still so she might open up....If she completes some messy task I will give her full credit for it if she has a go. For me Shilpa is a middle of the road housemate...for me I want to see more than her looks and actually find out what she is about. Is she willing to do all tasks? Would she eat horrid things for the good of the group? Would she dress up as a clown or would she shy away and refuse to wear certain things etc.
