Default Two thoughts about CBB5...from another country.

Hi, all...

I'm Jason, from Texas, USA.

I have to admit that I'm only here posting because of the recent uproar, and have never watched the UK BB before. (didn't know who Jade was =p )

However, I have downloaded and watched all the episodes for CBB 5 thus far.

These points are in response to various topics on this forum, but since this is my first post I made a new topic.

1. First, just want to point out that Jade was the least outwardly racist of the 3 girls (jade, jo, danielle)...BUT...she was an awful bully that the other girls were happy to tag along with. Glad she got voted off, but still feel alittle sad for her as a person.

2. If Shilpa wins, it won't be a 'sympathy vote'....it will be because of how she HANDLED the abuse that will draw ppl to cheer her. That is what left the biggest impression on me. I can't say I would have been as restrained and composed. Also, alot of people respect her for the values that she represents and has stuck to throughout her career.

Personally, I want Dirk to win...go Face! A-Team 4ever =p
He probably needs the win more than she does (a-team re-runs not too common anymore)

Later, UK and don't let this racial issue bother you...could happen in any country and no one thinks it's representative of Britain in general.

welcome.. and i pretty much agree with the sympathy vote.. i think people like her aswell because she is the only housemate who has portrayed a journey and stepped outside of their comfort zones.

Jay
Many people did not want Jade beamed around the world.

She is like a Vicky Pollard - our low life comedy character.

Infact Jade should not have been in there
she talks like a headless chicken would.

well said Jay.. you've pretty much echo'ed my sentiments. Jade is trailer trash. .. but maybe thats being too harsh on people who live in trailers.

Come in here more often my friend, you can be our American correspondant!!

Hi Jason,

Damn, I was hoping Jade would be a closely guarded secret amoungst us Brits Sadly there are a lot of young people who aspire to be like Jade i.e. to leave school with no education then find instant fame and celebrity from a reality show and earn their millions from divulging their private lives to glossy magazines. It is frightening.

As for your points:

1/ I also feel a little sorry for Jade. While I don't condone anything Jade has said, the British tabloiud press should be ashamed of themselves for stirring up so much hate towards Jade. Now the battle to restore her badly damaged reputation begins

2/ There will be a small percentage of a sympathy vote but I'm hoping Shilpa will win because of her many admirable qualities and the way she has conducted herself in the house and dealing with some very unsavory characters. Shilpa is a perfect role model and its her that young people should aspire to be.

Welcome to the forum man from across the sea!

To reply with your first point, the majority of what you said was true, although i feel there all equally as bad and to single one of them out would be silly. All of them together set about to destroy Shilpa, whether they meant it or not.

In reply to the last point, I agree totally that the fact she got bullied will be seen as a sympathy vote from some people. But in reality she is a role model for all those kids in the world who are getting bullied, by the way she handled the situation. Keeping calm and dignified throughout it has made her lots of new friends, so i don't see it as a sympathy vote if she does win.

Thank you for your thoughts Jay, and I agree with you.
BB is about the Journey and Shilpa has been though this Journey.
