They did dolls with hearing aids & wheelchairs aswell which at first seems odd , the question is if the dolls are still practical to play with ...and if it's not too patronising or pandering.
On face value I don't think there's a problem with educating children about disability & raising awareness. I guess it depends how it's done. I know with alot of these progressive ideas...they can go too far at times & have other agendas... usually involving money . But I think it's ok for disabled kids to have representation and see themselves ,and actually feel included. |
