Jeez. Overdosing on the colours, but i spose it’s very ITV2. Would have preferred something a bit more classy and understated, maybe like black on white or black on red, but hey like i said it’s ITV2…

During tonight’s Love Island finale, viewers were treated to an exclusive promo revealing the brand-new Big Brother eye, freshly redesigned for the eagerly awaited new series.

The show is set to return to ITV2 and ITVX this autumn but there is no start date yet.

People shouldn't be selected just to fit a quota. I don't think the percentage of (insert demographic trait) in the House needs to be the same as the UK's population. If the most interesting auditionees are all disproportionate to their demographics, then so be it.

…the eye is ok…I feel as though it has a bit more personality/individuality and uniqueness than the last eye, which is good…when the music starts up on the ads, it always brings such a hit of nostalgia……

I doubt that BB would cast like that anyway.

Even if the 5 gay auditionees, the two trans, and the Non-Binary contestants all knock the audition out of the ballpark, the Show would still drop a couple of them, ironically to fit a diversity quota.

I agree, I like it. Maybe it's hinting at an artsy, DIY theme for this year? Probably not, but it's fun to speculate.

I do agree with some others that the pineapple yellow is a bit tiring at this point and that it'd be nice to get back to more subdued colours with a stark contrast, i.e., harkening back to the days of Big Brother goes evil and the like.

But for what it is, I like it well enough.

I'm starting to really like it. For some reason it does feel like a Channel 4 eye, sort of. I like the way the advert started really obscurely so you didn't know it was going to be the eye at first. I would have liked them to build that up for quite a few days before the eye eventually was shown. So we could have speculated if it was something to do with Big Brother or not, like the old days. I'm not keen on the yellow. I think white would have looked a lot better for the backdrop. But it is what it is and I kind of like it.

This screams that this year will be a carbon copy of last year and the last cbb.

The show needs to last more than 6 weeks. The show needs a new house layout each season. The show needs a theme each season. The show needs to allow itself to be less PC. It's lacking the life it used to have.

I have to be honest, i’m not loving the ITV version so far. It definitely needs to be longer, 5 weeks just doesn’t cut it for a civilian series, last season just felt so rushed but i let it go, i figured it’s the first series, let it slide, but then to learn we’re probably getting another 5 week series. I mean, move it forward a couple weeks, start date mid september then you’ve got around 7 weeks, would be so much better.

And let’s not even start on the themes, or lack of and the house. It just feels very ‘Big Brother Lite’. The house continues to look like the set of a mid 2000’s nickelodeon kids show..

The cast just didn’t really click either, but supose that can’t really be helped when they’re already cast and in the house. I also miss late entries, maybe a week or 2 in, which it’s kind of pointless doing with a 5 week run

I know they’re clearly trying to go their own route, but i’d rather they just copied the Channel 4 days or damn, even the Channel 5 days.. just give us something
