In The Morning Show I've been watching which is based on the Me Too movement, they discussed a "morals" clause in an abuser's employment contract. Which, as they point out, could work for or against anyone at any time depending on their intentions.

Litigation insurance. Covers making out-of-court financial settlements to make court proceedings go away, and I assume Weinstein has a LOT of it.

The fact that a number of accusers have settled out of court (presumably with a condition that they won't testify against him) will put a significant dent in any criminal proceedings against him.

Basically, if you're rich enough you can pay to get away with a lot.
