heatworld was first to report that Big Brother stars Sam and Amanda had recorded a cover of Aqua’s 1997 (yes, we did just change that. It was a slip of the finger!) hit, Barbie Girl. So it only seems right that we're first to show you pictures from their new video too – and yes, there IS a lot of pink involved. “It’s a dream come true for us to record our favourite song of all time,” they said. “We’re just excited about everything and keep having to pinch ourselves to make sure it’s all real.” The single's due out in October!









The Big Brother twins Sam and Amanda have recorded their debut single, a cover of Aqua's 1997 single 'Barbie Girl'.

The pair, who were runners-up in this year's series of the reality TV show behind fellow contestant Brain, have signed up with record company SonyBMG.

The 19-year olds said: "It's a dream come true for us to record our favourite song of all time. We're just so excited about everything and keep having to pinch ourselves to make sure it's all real."

A spokesman for Sony is confident about the girls' success, saying: "It is a measure of how much viewers identified with the twins that they were the only Big Brother contestants never to have been nominated for a single eviction.

"They are also the only Big Brother contestants ever to have signed with a major record company. Superstardom beckons for them."

I never thought it would be to be honest.

They've only just got out of the house, they've been doing photoshoots, going out, even having holidays to Spain.

They've barely had any time to sing, record and edit a song.
Then film a video.
Then mass produce the single and deliver it to shops nationwide.
Then find channels and programmes to display the video on.
