Gemma Atkinson has reportedly agreed to appear in the new series of I'm A Celebrity....

According to the Daily Star, the actress has signed up for the trip to the jungle which hits screens on November 12.

Despite splitting up with soccer star Christiano Ronaldo, reports claim that the Manchester United winger will receive daily progress updates on her time in Australia.

The former Hollyoaks star is rumoured to be joining Right Said Fred's Richard Fairbrass and pop choreographer Jeffrey Daniel on the reality show.

Hollyoaks actress Gemma Atkinson has signed up to ITV reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, if reports are to be believed.

Are they to be believed? It certainly seems possible. Atkinson – who’ll be known to Hollyoaks fans as Lisa Hunter – is no stranger to celeb-orientated TV shows, having appeared on Celebrity Weakest Link, Soapstar Superstar and Celebrity Masterchef.

Atkinson, who used to date Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, will presumably be hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow glamour model Katie Price, aka Jordan, whose public profile and personal life (she famously met husband Peter Andre on the programme) were transformed by her appearance in the jungle.

The new series of the show (its seventh) starts in mid-November and will again be presented by Ant and Dec – who, after the recent phone-in scandal surrounding their Saturday night show, will presumably be running around checking that everything’s above board.

Other stars rumoured to be appearing are Right Said Fred singer Richard Fairbrass, former Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McClaren and Koo Stark, Prince Andrew’s former lover. A kooky combination, but we’d expect no less.
