I spent most of this evening watching a programme combining the auditions from New York and Atlanta.
Same old deluded tone deaf warblers (only made scarier by a large dose of American self-belief), same old nasal Celine Dion wannabes, occasional good voices. Cringeworthy and heart-rending moments.......... No matter what, and even hosted by the ghastly  Ryan Seacrest, it's still compulsive viewing!
