Heres the story:
Talented boxer and Big Brother star Anthony Ogogo had a fraud charge against him dropped when he appeared before magistrates yesterday. Ogogo, 19, of London Road South, Lowestoft, had been accused of fraudulently using a car tax disc meant for his sister's car in his own vehicle. Following legal discussions during the case at Lowestoft Magistrates' Court, prosecutor David Hutson withdrew the case, but warned Ogogo that he may still face action from the DVLA for failing to carry a proper tax disc in his car. Ogogo gained national fame earlier this year when he finished fourth in the the Channel 4 programme Big Brother Celebrity Hijack. Meanwhile, his profile as an amateur boxer is set to rise as he targets both the 2010 Commonwealth Games and the 2012 London Olympics for medal glory. In the short term he has reached the final of the national senior Amateur Boxing Association Championships on May 16. |
