Heya guys. This is my first real Big Brother on the forum, and i am going to share my ideas with you over the next few months. I will post eyes, House plans, Advertising packs, Everything possibly needed for the Perfect Big brother. I will begin doing this tomorrow, by making an eye and advertisement plans. I hope to keep this thread regularly updated and will post some stuff tomorrow!

General Ideas and introduction

I want my series of Big Brother to be like No other series! I want it to be unique, with unique tasks, twists and style. Housemates will not be crazy and mental, But fun and Real, normal people! Tasks will push housemates to the edge, making them Snappy and Entertaining to view. Sleeping arrangements wil be tight, and food will be limited. Tasks will not be for food, but for Luxuries, such as alcohol or cigarettes. The series will be on for 70 days, 13 housemates entering on the launch night and 2 new ones throughout the series. Eviction shows will be fun and entertaining, and will take place every Thursday evening from 8:30pm to 10pm. There will be Live Tasks every Sunday evening from 9pm until 10pm, with the highlights for Saturday, on Monday. Nominations will be Different, Every housemate will make One secret nomination in the diary room, but will have to reveal another nomination to the house, using whiteboards. This will really set the house apart, and get everybody arguing, to entertain us all. Punishments will not be jail, but Having to reveal both nominations and having a luxury taken away from the house for a day. There will be 5 housemates in the final and the winner will win 250,000

I've never been a fan of "open" nominations - usually they're quite an anti-climax, especially in Britain as everyone is just too damn polite to say what they really think - but I really like your idea of one secret and one open nomination as tactics really come into play there and it'll be interesting to see who housemates are willing to nominate face to face and who they'd rather nominate in private.

Thanks. I think that it would be really good, especially at the start of the series with all of the housemates, Somebody might be quite ooffended if you nominated them out of Everybody else. I think it could really set the house apart and cause arguments!

The Eye

Here is the eye for the series. I made it myself and really think it represents the house, as a new burst of life and colour. It Represents the fact that the housemates will be from different walks of life, with all of the colours

[i]As you can see, i am not the best at graphics and making things technical, but i think that a simple eye is what big brother needs. It represents something and is easy to remember and recognise for future advertising

Advertising Campaign

General
The Advertising campaign for Big brother needs to be HUGE. It needs to catch peoples eyes and make them think. Adverts need to be simple, and have added clues in them. They need to be displayed all over the country, on Tv and radio. Billboards will need to be put up in Cites around the country. Tv Adverts need to be catchy and get people wondering how Big brother has changed. The "Golden Ticket" Idea really needs to be bought back. 50 Golden Tickets should be given out in a Chocolate bar, Preferably Cadburies. It will get the nation really involved in Big brother, even if they may not win a ticket, and will also boost sales of Cadbury Chocolate. The First episode (Launch night) Will air on the 1st of July. It is an easy date to remember, and Tv adverts will have the slogan "Pinch Punch, first of the month", So that people who do "Pinch punch" Will remember Big Brother when Annoyingly Pinching me or others. Auditions will have to be advertised a lot more, with flyers and Bus posters. The launch night will need to be in between two big anticipated shows. Maybe a blockbuster film, having its tv Debut on channel 4. Big brother needs to be advertised on big websites, such as bebo. It needs to start attracting the younger viewers, so i think bebo is a great place to do so, as it is hip and young, attracting millions every day

The Advertising banner
This is the banner that will be put up on Billboards. They will all have different items of furniture on them, to get people guessing at how the house will look. The idea is to add the mystery back into big brother, and by putting random bits of furniture onto banners, is a great way to do so. The banner is very simple and has a slogan of "Hmmm" To show people, wondering what the house will be like. I hope you like it

First thing - neat eye concept, though not sure about the colour. The general rule of thumb is rainbow eye = **** series!

Secondly, I'm not sure about your advertising campaign. I agree that a shift of focus is needed, but it would be a HUGE mistake to bring the Golden Ticket back if you want people to think it has changed - using old twists just makes people think that it'll be the same old show.

Also, I don't like your random bits of furniture on a billboard idea - it seems very pointless. I don't like the 'Pinch, Punch, First of the month' slogan either - I doubt it'd have much effect on anyone over 16.

Definitely no to the return of the Golden Ticket. Been there, done that - and to be honest although a nice idea it wasn't hugely successful the first time around.

If you want to do a lottery of some sorts where a viewer can become a housemate fair enough - but do it differently. Doing something online is the obvious option.
