Rangers 7 Dundee United 1: King Kris Boyd breaks Henrik Larsson's SPL record with FIVE incredible strikes to seal win
Kris Boyd smashed Henrik Larsson's record as the Clydesdale Bank Premier League's top goalscorer after netting an incredible five goals as Dundee United crashed to a 7-1 defeat at Ibrox. Not content to simply level the Celtic legend's tally of 158 - he ended the match having taken his own tally to 160 goals in Scottish football' top-flight. Damien Casalinuovo pulled a goal back for United and Steven Whittaker and Madjid Bougherra were also on the scoresheet but the night belonged to Boyd - with new Scotland boss Craig Levein given plenty of food for thought in the stands. The Scottish champions now boast a seven-point lead at the summit ahead of Sunday's Old Firm derby, with the only sour point a red card for Kenny Miller which rules him out of the clash with the Hoops. Great striker was everywhere tonight, think Novo on the Right side has helped a lot he has been great there, Rangers on a great run of form at the minute as well celtic on sunday could be 10 points clear after that

Kris boyd hero... Or is he??? FACT: Marc Antoine* fortune since being at Celtic has scored more goals in* Europe than Kris Boyd. FACT: King Henrik scored his* 158 goals in 5.5seasons compared to Boyd's 8.5* seasons, yes 3 seasons more than Henrik. FACT: * Against the bigger SPL teams Henrik scored78 to* Boyd's shameful 48... FACT: And if it's* possible to save the best for last Henrik has scored* more goals at Paradise against Celtic than super Kris* Boyd has
