Will she still be able to for much longer, I think your post has strong valid points, especially in light of the last few days events .

I can understand her wanting to freely go shopping but surely as you are saying, the risks now must be enormous, now she is a full Royal family member.

I admire Kate wanting to stay with her "common" roots although I can see the Royal Family soon putting a stop to her being so public. Give it a few months; we'll never see her in public and she will barely be mentioned in the press.

There is a slight threat to her being in the public although I doubt any terrorists lurk about in local Waitrose stores. I do see though how this may be a cause for concern. This just seems to be a bit of publicity that's been planned as they'll want to keep her and William in the press for a good while now.

You are right Arista. It's all very well for her to be trying to remain grounded and normal, but her very presence anywhere in public now is a target for maniacs to take a pot shot and members of the public could be endangered in the crossfire.

This quote is so correct. The point made above is also strengthened by recent events too. It is sad but it's also a fact,she is more at risk because of her new status but that as arista says puts anyone wherever she is at greater risk with her too.
