Default Men Outnumer Women (on TV) 2 to 1

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010...utnumber-women

"The new research, commissioned by Channel 4 to mark International Women's Day, will also reveal that younger women are heavily over- represented by the broadcasting industry. Only four in every 10 women on screen are aged over 40. In contrast, however, for every 10 men featured on television, six are aged 40 or older."

Sign of The Times.

No - it is a sign of how things have always been and how old men have always dominated the broadcasting industry - but things are slowly changing - it is better now than it used to be!

Hmm.

Slightly off-topic but still kinda related - but I can't think of many funny women. Famous ones, that is to say.

There're hundreds of stand-up comedians: Bill Bailey, Michael McIntyre, Peter Kay, Rhod Gilbert, Rich Hall, Rob Brydon, Paddy McGuinness (these aren't ones I necessarily find funny, just examples off the top of my head).

The only funny women I can think of are Joan Rivers, Jo Brand, Shapi Khorsandi (sp.), Sarah Millican and Joanna Lumley. French and Saunders too.

French and Saunders are no longer doing much.
Comedy is a Hard Work gig
some women can not handle it for long.

Of course you have your rights.
But Women have a problem on BBC
News - if they are older
they are Brutal and Sack them,
but the older Male Newsreader stays.

So the Bloated BBC is part of the problem.

Sooner or later the BBC are going to have to realise that women make up a hugh percentage of their viewers and should be catered for accordingly - or they just may turn to other stations! Women like to see good-looking young men just like men like to see good-looking young women! Whether old men like it or not!

One imagines you would prefer these old ladies just to get brutal with your sack?
