Default Most pathetic task ever

I can't believe how pathetic this week's 'task' was. If it had been one person rather than two and they had a longer time to think about it, it would have been really good.

That was not much of a sacrifice. I'm sure the housemates would prefer not to have to nominate anyway, and they settled the whole thing amicably.

There was potential for conflict, and I reckon Big Brother must have been disappointed about how civil the housemates were.

As for the outcome, the smart money will be on PJ to go. Either way, though, and the Jonny-Kate-PJ triangle is broken, so what will happen the following week is now so unpredictable.

Well done, though, housemates, you did not rise to the bait, and though that meant it was not great TV, at least BB didn't get want they wanted for once!

I agree Oldgit. I'm sure C4 thought this would cause a lot of conflict and were probably quite disappointed in the civil, grown up way the housemates dealt with it.

I also agree that it wasn't much of a sacrifice, they all hate nominations and Kate herself said that she much preferred this than being chosen by her peers.

Big brother was leanient. They told them to remain seated but Tim got up to organise the straw poll. If BB stuck to it's own rules there might well have been conflict. Although if I heard correctly Jade seemed willing to sacrifice herself for nomination.

The task was a damp squib really but I am relieved that the bars are down. I am sad that Kate has another week of tension though.

I'm sure in a former life some people sat by the guillotine, knitting. Have a heart people - haven't the housemates been put through enough? They've lived on prison rations, been separated from their loved ones, had cold showers, outside loos etc, etc. Don't you think they deserved a bit of a 'foot off the pedal' task?

OK - so it didn't make for gripping TV but I, for one, was so happy for them that they had something to cheer them up after all their traumas. Give them a break. You can all get back to your ringside knitting another night.

I'll admit this wasn't much of a task but I really enjoyed tonight's show.

I'm glad no-one is being evicted tomorrow and I'm glad no-one's being put in solitary confinement.

It was lovely to see the housemates' reactions to seeing their loved ones on the plasma screen and I think it was a very fair way of putting two people up for nomination.

PJ and Kate are both happy about it, they know that they haven't been nominated by their peers and they will both be happy to see their families on Friday if they leave!

All in all, I think it was a great programme and it's nice to see the housemates happy for a change!

I am a bit disappointed were no nominations today - I like watching their reasons and finding out who is up - then again, it could have been Alex and Jonny and Kate up against each other again - that would have been tragic!
