Default Big Brother-Final Series Longest Ever at 13 Weeks(Daily Star)

BIG Brother’s final series will be the longest ever at 13 weeks.

The 11th run starts on June 9 and lasts until mid-September.

But last night even BB fans were on the internet, calling it “overkill”. One said: “The beauty of Big Brother is the fact that it’s on just once a year.

“But this is madness, it’s more than a quarter of the year.

“It’s overkill, Channel 4 must know that people have gone off the show and yet they’re determined to make it worse by doing this.”

Another viewer said: “It’s like a jail term. You would get less time for committing a crime.”

But host Davina McCall, 42, said fans were in for a real treat.

She added: “The final series will be one you’ll remember for ever.”

Big Brother editor David Williams said: “Big Brother is essentially an incredible entertainment show and there are plans afoot to ensure that a carnival atmosphere of fun and enjoyment will be at the forefront for what we hope will be a lively final series.”

Channel 4 decided to axe the show when ratings plunged.

What sort of BB fans would complain about a long final series seriously, evidently made up by the daily star. The longer the better!

Of the ones you've listed there, BB8 was the longest and they were all just over 13 weeks.

To be honest I think they should just go all out and make it 101/102 days. I've always wanted to hear Marcus Bentley say "Day 100".
