What did you think of tonights performances?
Andy : Everything I Do : 4/10 - It wasent great. Lately : 7/10 - It was the best of the 2 performances. Brenda : R.E.S.P.E.C.T : 10/10 - It was F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C Without You : 10/10 - It was brillant and fitted her voice brillantly! I hope and Pray this woman gets into the Final! Vote 4 Brendaaaaa Journey South : You're In My Heart : 7/10 - It wasent brillant, I wwouldnt put them through on that performance alone. It seemed like a safe choice. Let It Be : 9/10 - It was there best to date, Brillant and very entertaining. Shayne : If Tomorrow Never comes : 5/10 - Its not good Song. He could have put alot more into it i thought. Unchained Melody : 8/10 - I Hate this song with a passion - but he did a good job with such a bad song. His first song was bad but he made up for it. But i wish he would stop going so high at the end of songs. |

It could be Andy to go.
Though maybe all those teenage Shayne fans will have used up their text credit voting for Westlife and McFly in Record of the Year, so he could be at risk too. I thought the first songs the contestants did were too short and edited to allow them to be done justice. |

Wow!
At one stage during Record of the Year only 24 votes seperated the the act going home and the act going into the final! And the Act with the elast number of votes changed during Record of the year aswell. I really hope it's not Brenda - she deserves to be in the Final! |

Everything I Do... Not bad but not great. Just - okay. I think Andy is such a nice guy, but wasn't sure about the blatant play for votes with bringing his kids on at the end. Lately Much better. But (dare I say it) I find this song the teensiest bit boring. Still, he did a good job of it. Brenda R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Brilliant performance! One of Brenda's best. Without You Didn't listen to it, because I really cannot bear that song. Journey South You're In My Heart I really liked it, and I never used to like that song before. Excellent - they totally deserved their place in the final. Let It Be Well, taking on The Beatles was always going to be a risk, but I really think they pulled it off. Performance of the night for me. Only tiny niggle is that I wish Carl would stop looking so terrified! Shayne If Tomorrow Never Comes Pffft. Probably the most boring song of the whole competition. Not blaming Shayne at all; he performed it well, especially considering he only had a day to learn it - but it is sooooo boring.Unchained Melody I was a bit confused when it started - it seemed to start halfway through the song, which seemed odd. Apart from that - as much as it pains me to say it - it was a good performance. |

Everything I Do... His weakest performance so far. It's not a difficult song by any means (if you can sing in the first place, of course), so it was a surprise that he did so badly with it. Lately I went to the shop instead. It's an awful, turgid song, anyway. Still, he seemed okay with it, based on the clip at the end. Brenda R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Awful, cheesy, tacky karaoke. The 'dancing' was embarrassing to watch, and the run to the audience was desperation of Chico proportions. Without You This would've been the performance of the series, until she croaked and then went way off-key when she stepped-up a gear. But before that, it was very good indeed - sensitive, emotional and genuine. If she'd sang like that all series, instead of the pantomime dancing and lack of effort that was obvious in almost all of her performances, she would've been in the final. Journey South [On Safari] You're In My Heart Terrible song, but nowhere near as bad as I was expecting it to be at all. [A Tribute To Alexei Sayle] Let It Be I wanted to hate this, but it was **** (still can't bring myself to type the word). As Ruth said, it was the performance of the night. Spoilt a tad by the 300-piece choir at the end, though. Shayne If Tomorrow Never Comes He made a decent job of an appallingly bad song. Unchained Melody It was strange. When they chop a song as familiar as this to pieces, it's quite disorientating. It was okay, but he can do better than this. He'll need to next week, too. Journey South best on the night (I still can't quite believe it), followed by Shayne, Brenda and finally Andy. |

Everything I Do. It was not his best and did not really suit his voice. 6/10 Lately- I think this was really good, Andy's best for weeks. 8/10 Brenda R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Great up-tempo performance by Brenda. 8/10 Without You She did most of it well but kind of lost it at the end.7/10 Journey South You're In My Heart I did not like it, very poor choice.5/10 Let It Be- I think this was there best for weeks, very good on a tough song.8/10 Shayne If Tomorrow Never Comes- It's a bit of dreay song but I thought he did it well.8/10 Unchained Melody- It was very goodt imo, although the arrangement was odd. Perferct choice for him.9/10 |
