Just when you thought the X Factor saga couldn’t get any more exciting, there comes news that everyone’s favourite, erm - what is it she does again? - Victoria Beckham is set to take over from disgruntled judge Louis Walsh in time for the next series.
According to the Daily Star, the show’s bosses – better known as high-trousered sarcasm merchant Simon Cowell and ex-Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller – aim to lure her with a £1 million offer. “It would be a dream come true for Victoria,” a source told the newspaper. “She’s still keen to forge a telly career and shows don’t come much bigger than this.” Mr Cowell has made no secret of the fact he would like to work with Victoria. “She is very witty and can poke fun at herself,” he says. “I think The X Factor is the best opportunity for the public to see the real side of her. She’s interesting and good TV.” Indeed – but we’re sure Posh is missing a trick here. We think she’d go down a treat in the jungle, hanging out with the has-beens and creepy-crawlies on the next series of I’m A Celebrity. Imagine! Mrs Goldenballs eating kangaroo’s testicles, anyone? From Wanadoo The XFactor is... OVER!

The real problem is... What the hell does she know about much?
She was in the Spice Girls and never sung and she released a few singles which all flopped. Is that good enough for The X Factor? Simon and Sharon will know what they're talking about as they have managed acts for years. Compared to Victoria, Louis is an amazing judge. |

That what I thought too Cull I thought Pete Waterman would be in with a chance as they wanted him first then his son died so they chose Louis instead

Yeah the best way to go would be with someone we already know will be good as a judge.

I might have to stop watching, seriously bad choice if it's true. There are plenty of people who would do a better judging, how about that bloke who was Take That's manager? Or another manager or someone who's really clued up on music.

I didnt say she doesnt know anything about music i said she doesnt know anything "judging" music - just because shes been in a successful girl group doesnt mean she can judge music. Atleast Louis, Sharon and Simon have experience in managing in the music industry, Victoria Beckham doesnt.

Oh if it gets Louis Walsh of my screens then it's a BLOOODY GREAT IDEA! :P
I like Victoria and she must know stuff about music otherwise she wouldn't be doing it (if this is true) so if this is true then IMO it's a great decision. But then again i'm biast because i can't bare the sight of Louis Pathetic Walsh! |

If they are going to replace Louis then it should be with someone who's been a successful manager or producer imo, not some washed up girl group member. |

Totally agree with you Fernzy. When I saw this thread, the first thought that popped into my head was "What a stupid idea!" I do want Louis out, but it should be for someone with musical and managerial experience, not some washed up, popstar, footballer's wife.

This story is over a year old, by the way. Simon supposedly wanted her on board for series two. I don't think that it will happen, and Louis has already poured cold water on the speculation (feeble pun very much intended). |

The story is new because she is probably replacing Louis in the 3rd series.

The story is old - read the post again, and you'll see that it has already been denied.
