Default Is Barrymore right

Michael Barrymore has accused Jodie of being a bully, does anyone think that is true?

The way he spoke to her about it and the fact that he reduced her to tears does that not in fact make him a bully?

I am not a fan of Michael and do like Jodie and yes I agree she is self absorbed but no more so than he is. He has taken every opportunity to bring the light onto himself, and also to talk about his "feelings" which seem to be the only ones that matter!

I think when a person like Jodie wont look at herself in a bad way and thinks nothing is wrong with her and is very self obsessed you need to be cruel to be kind. It might look like Bmore is trying to hurt her but I think he is being brutaly honest and that is exactly what the girl needs. Jodie is quick to blame everything and everyone but herself and brings up her past but I do think Jodie is a bully but that is down to her past... if you cant beat the bullied join them kind of attitude which is wrong. Jodie needs help when she is out the house for her to come to terms properly with her bullied past and she needs to admit she has a problem before anything or anyone can help her. Barrymore may be harsh in the way he says things to her but producing tears is a defence and I think he is making her think alot and she will realise he is right in alot of what he has said.

I am not sure that Barrymore is the right person to "try" and help anyone and do not think he was being cruel to be kind I think he was just being cruel!

Jodie is sel-absorbed and doesnt like to see negatives about herself but that by no means makes her a bully it makes her narsasistic maybe but a bully

I agree she has issues that she needs to work through on leaving the house but dont think that they are imapcting too much on her time there. Other than she may well be struggling to cope the next day or two with the anniversary of her best friends murder being today.

Just because she isnt hitting or fighting anyone doesn't mean she isn't a bully. Jodie is a verbal bully...all talk. But talking can hurt. The way she suggested that Petes coat should be thrown over the wall...that is bullying, and the way she wanted them all to send Pete top coventry that is bullying. It isn't bullying of the highest level by all means but it still adds up to a bullying thing. She is 27/28 not a schoolgirl at school.

She was over the top about the suggestions she made about Pete's coat, I agree, not sure that it was bullying though, surely that was her feelings about something coming out a bit OTT!

I still fail to be able to see her as a bully but hey if others think that then they think that. I have never been bullied and count my blessings about that.

Still like Jodie and think Michael was way OTT and in fact bullied her to try and get his point across!

Whether some of the things class as "bullying" it depends on everyones take on the word. Alot of the papers also see Bmore as the "bully" but that is because all the papers are against him from the start. What parts of the convosation did you see as bullying and not the actual truth or advice from someone who has been as down and depressed as she seems to be?

The fact that he felt the need to even say anything and to labour the point until she cried was what made me feel he was the bully!

Don't you think he was trying to help use his experiences to help her? He may not be qualified to give advice in a professional way but atleast he tried to make her see things on another level. Seeing her cry is hard, seeing anyone cry is sad to see but I see the crying as something "that is hitting home" rather than just "oh he is being nasty".
I guess we shall just have to see how/if it developes any futher

I think they can both be bullies, but without meaning to be. They try to get their point across, but as they're both quite overbearing people, they sometimes don't realize when they're taking it too far.

That still doesn't quite excuse some of their behaviour though.

I think she is self obsessed to be honest more then anything. Sometimes she can seem domineering but i think thats a reflexion of her personality, a 'what i want i get' kind of person.

But a bully? I don't think so really seeing as on her site, one of her charities is for anti-bullying.

I saw the 3-5am bit.

Michael and Pete ganged up on Jodie, abit like George and Pete did earlier in the day, only Preston stood up for her then.

There is no doubt Michael thinks he is above Jodie, as does Pete, and neither like her.

She's a handful (chortle) but they are doing her more damage than good. Getting aggressive/bullying/frustrated with her is doing Jodie no good.

Barrymore has now settled in, we are now seeing another side to him now that he thinks the public like him again.

They're both hypocrits on my opinion... Jodie bullies Pete (yes I know the fur is terrible but she needs to stop making every opinion of Pete revolve around a COAT!!)... and Michael has his moments too.
