John James ran out because after telling Josie he loved her, cuddling her, stroking her and generally leading her on! He told her that he doesnt fancy her after all. That maybe they are making the housemates think more was gonna happen. Naturally he feels like the git he is and ran out. Josie must feel awful he knew how she feels for him he has made a fool of her
