Default Does anyone remember American cartoon/movie?

I remember having it on VHS as a child (early 90's) and used to love it but can't for the life of me remember the name of it.

It was American and was something like "[Name] & the ________" and it was something about a diamond, or a ruby/gem.

Anyway, the protagonist (glasses and red hair) goes looking around what I remember being a jungle and finds a temple and goes insideetc etc.

There's also a female animal hunter/poacher who's in the jungle in like a camper van thing with caged animals.

At the very end the protagonist traps the poacher in a rope and cages her before she turns "nice" and he lets her go along with her animals.

It was like a similar 'style' (appearance) animation to like Thundercats and that, not comical or anything.

I know that's all a bit here and there but I'd be grateful if anyone knew of it, I'm trying to find it for my little cousin to watch because I loved it and I'm sure he would too.

^^ No no it was much earlier than that. This is like pre-1995, possibly late 80's!

^ Thanks for helping!

I don't know if it was part of a series or if it was a huge TV success or what but it was definitely American and what I described is all I remember! Vague I know but I'm desperate to find out!

It sounds like a cross between the first Rescuers movie and the (superior) sequel.
