The main stars constitute of the most memorable and entertaining housemates of the season, while the supporting characters and also great 'hidden gems' that could be conisdered underrated but contributed a high level of greatness (they are not as widely praised as the main stars).

Trying to find some equivalents between the stars of the series:
Sam and Bea new HMs who stirred things up later
Shabby and Sree eccentrics who stirred things up early.
Sunshine and Freddie people who were isolated from early on in the house.
John James and Noirin, 'baddies' who had an influence on the series.
Ben and Marcus - HMs who had some intelligence, challenged BB, could be outspoken. I much preferred Marcus as he could laugh at himself more.

I'm not sure how Andrew was a supporting character. To me Josie was a supporting character to John James. Yeh he ruined the series, that's partly why it was a bad series. Keeva was a supporting character to Shabby and Sunshine, John James as well I suppose.

If you see Sophie as a star in BB10 then surely Kris is at least a supporting player. Without him we wouldn't have been aware she existed in the first weeks. Lisa would probably get supporting status as well.
