I would love to see KT Tunstall, Hard-fi, and Oasis get awards.

I cant believe that theyve nominated Shayne Ward. The ceremony is nothing more than a joke.

Best British album
Coldplay - X & Y
Gorillaz - Demon Days
James Blunt - Back To Bedlam
Kaiser Chiefs - Employment
Kate Bush - Aerial

All good albums IMO, except the Kaiser Chiefs (not a fan, although I did like I Predict A Riot). I hope Kate Bush or James Blunt wins.

British breakthrough act (Voted by Radio 1 listeners and the Brits Academy)
Arctic Monkeys
James Blunt
Kaiser Chiefs
KT Tunstall
Magic Numbers

I don't like Kaiser Chiefs or Arctic Monkeys, but I'd like any of the other three to win.

British male solo artist
Antony and the Johnsons
Ian Brown
James Blunt
Robbie Williams
Will Young

I'd love Ian Brown to win this, but I think it will be either James Blunt (also brilliant) or Robbie. I thought Antony and the Johnsons are a group?!

British female solo artist
Charlotte Church
Kate Bush
Katie Melua
KT Tunstall
Natasha Bedingfield

I hope Kate Bush wins.

British group
Coldplay
Franz Ferdinand
Gorillaz
Hard Fi
Kaiser Chiefs

Gorillaz to win!

British single (Voted by UK commercial radio listeners)
Coldplay - Speed of Sound
James Blunt - You're Beauitiful
Shane Ward - That's My Goal
Sugababes - Push The Button
Tony Christie ft Peter Kaye - Is This The Way To Amarillo?

I hope James Blunt wins. Even though this song has been played to death, it's still lovely. I like the Coldplay one as well.

British urban act (Voted by MTV Base viewers and the Brits Academy)
Craig David
Dizzee Rascal
Kano
Lemar
Ms Dynamite

No comment - not my type of thing really. I quite like Lemar though.

British rock act (Voted by Kerrang! TV viewers and the Brits Academy)
Franz Ferdinand
Hard Fi
Kaiser Chiefs
Kasabian
Oasis

They are not my idea of rock! Oasis to win though, as I'm not too keen on any of the others, except Hard Fi, and I've only heard one song by them.

Pop act (Voted by CUK viewers, The Sun Bizarre column readers and O2/Motorola customers)
James Blunt
Katie Melua
Kelly Clarkson
Madonna
Westlife

I really hope Madonna or Kelly Clarkson wins this - although Westlife will probably win it.

British live act (Voted by Radio 2 and a panel of selectors)
Coldplay
Franz Ferdinand
Kaiser Chiefs
Oasis
KT Tunstall

Not seen any of them live, so couldn't comment really.

International male solo artist
Beck
Bruce Springsteen
Jack Johnson
John Legend
Kanye West

Jack Johnson - his stuff is great, and I'm really pleased that he's finally getting some recognition.

International female solo artist
Bjork
Kelly Clarkson
Madonna
Mariah Carey
Missy Elliott

Madonna or Bjork to win, hopefully (I think Madonna will get it).

International album
Arcade Fire - Funeral
Green Day - American Idiot
Kanye - Late Registration
Madonna - Confesstions On A Dancefloor
U2 - How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb

I'd like U2 to win - but surely this was released before the qualifying time for the Brits? (Obviously not, but it feels like this CD is about 2 years old)!

International group
Arcade Fire
Black Eyed Peas
Green Day
U2
White Stripes

Yay!!! The White Stripes are up for one. I REALLY hope they win this.

International breakthrough act
Arcade Fire
Daniel Powter
Jack Johnson
John Legend
Pussycat Dolls

Jack Johnson to win!

Outstanding contribution to music (Voted by the BPI Council)
Paul Weller

Excellent choice (although I think Robert Plant deserves it, but hey, that's just me)!

Hiya Ruth, still lovin that sig (I have a T-shirt with the same quote on it!)

Looking at those nominations, they really shouldn't have bothered with a "rock" category. I seem to remember Coldplay ()being in the rock category last year Seriously shocking state of affairs!

Looking down that whole list only Sprinsteen and White Stripes would be the ones I'd listen to, although at a push I could take a little U2 or Green Day.

Hey Slartibartfast!

I saw Robert Plant performing live in December - simply awesome. I thought nothing could top seeing the Rolling Stones, but Robert Plant did!

By the way, I recognise your title 'Dazed and Confused' as well - great song!
