I'm sick to death of people blaming their mentors and slating them for the wrong songs or the wrong backing or the wrong whatever. They also have a habit of slagging them off on the Xtra Factor these days. They should be bloody grateful for the opportunity they have just been given. The life changing chance they have just had. The celebrity lifestyle they have just lived (and may go on to live) and the experience in general. Going abroad (for most) and to star studded events. It honestly makes me sick that they complain!! Bitter, twisted, ungrateful PLANKS!!!!!!!!!

Oh and I'm not just talking about Diva Fever either. Over the years people have been bitter and I'm so angry. They've had such a life changing event.

Well, I guess if you were in the position of being mentored by him and he insisted you did a song of his choice, but watedto and did otherwise then there would be little support from him afterwards and that may at the time seem a price to high to pay.

I can understand the pressure and also believe it wasn't only Simon that insisted they sing what they did but if you believe in what you do, and in yourself, you'd surely insist you do what YOU want. Many have

I can't believe they actually think that they can sing, I really thought they were just on the show to (try to be) entertaining. When one of them said "we got eliminated because of the song choice because it didn't show off our voices, but I think we showed that we're good singers in the sing off" I actually laughed.

I can agree with you on that you are right.,I certainly would insist on doing what I thought was best for me, I do and get lots of lectures for it.

if diva fever refused to sing the song the producers would have stuck them on 1st and shoved them out the door, afterall thats what happened to storm and fyd.

A few contestants over the years have refused to do what their mentors suggest. I can't be certain but I think Alexandra was one and Steve Brookstein another. Possibly Shane Ward too. Sometimes it blows up in their face massively yet other times it works. Guess ultimately it has to be a compromise. I'm just annoyed people can be so bitter after the opportunity and experiences they have just been given. How many people get that?

I would blame the song choice too, grateful for what?
They are in it to win it - its not an exercise in being grateful. This is cut throat stuff. Storm was crucified by a bad song (I said last week that if he did a Springsteen song he would exit) - if i can spot that from way back here why cant Louis? |

It is very petulant to throw a tantrum over a song choice (looking at you, blonde girl from Belle Amie) but in Diva Fever's case I feel sorry for them; the Matt Dillon lookalike actually sounded very good in their sing-off performance, it's just a shame the judges wanted to keep Belle Amie for bottom three fodder in a fortnight's time. Girls will never get behind a girl group, I don't know how Simon will ever combat that because over the years they've tried so many different types and styles of girls and none of them have appealed. I've always wondered: how well would Girls Aloud have done if they'd come through the X Factor? Probably would have been gone in the first month of the competition, considering how long it took them to get it together and sound good as a band!
