EXCLUSIVE BB bosses make offer to Edmonds as rocker joins line-up Noel wanted as task master to wild bunch

BIG Brother is secretly trying to lure TV legend Noel Edmonds into the house, The People can reveal.
Bosses behind the new series which kicks off on Thursday are offering Noel megabucks to host a special Deal Or No Deal-style task for the housemates.
They reckon getting Noel on the reality show - now into its seventh series and due for a record 13-week run - would be a huge coup.
The veteran telly presenter, 57, has become a hot property all over again with his daytime game show on Channel 4.
A source said: "Big Brother bosses would love to get him involved in their show. They are currently pulling out all the stops to make sure he is there, inside the house.
"Noel is one of the hottest properties in TV right now. His Deal Or No Deal is screened by Channel 4, which is also the home of Big Brother, so there would be no problem on that front."
Contestants on Deal Or No Deal play for a £250,000 prize as they gamble on the value of mystery boxes.
If Noel does join the reality show he will face housemates including PERFECT PETER, a flamboyant, swearing rock singer who likes to wear blonde wigs and women's blouse (more about him, right).
Then there is stunning nightclub hostess IMOGEN THOMAS. The 23-year-old Welsh babe, who now works at a top London bar, was crowned Miss Wales in 2003 and has also been among FHM magazine's 100 high street honeys.
Two glamour models entering the house are NICKY - who claims to have dated several Premiership footballers - and LEE who has huge fake boobs.
Among the others is slick City stockbroker SEZER and a crossdressing gay from Glasgow called SHAHBAZ.
Male model MIKIE, a cheeky Scouser in his 20s, is tipped to be popular with the women in the house.
Other housemates include LISA, who is described as petite, hyperactive and an oddball, and GEORGE, a photography student who is set to be a calming influence.
Shaven-headed gay muscleman RICHARD was born in Canada. BONNIE is a dumpy, no-nonsense teenager from Loughborough.
Also, there is GRACE, a brainbox from a rich family who dances in West End shows. According to one insider, she has "an amazing body and is very good looking".
But missing from the line-up will be ex-Miss Great Britain EMMA SPELLAR, 23, who has sensationally been dropped after her original inclusion in the show was leaked.
Our source said: "Bosses want the housemates to be as fresh as possible to viewers. And as she's already had so much publicity they felt they had no choice." Big Brother producers hope to make the Deal Or No Deal task central to stirring up feelings between the housemates.
Our source said: "The aim will be to cause major rivalry between the housemates."
A Channel 4 spokesperson for Big Brother confirmed: "There are lots of twists and turns planned into this year's tasks.
"It is all being kept top secret but even Deal Or No Deal could turn nasty." In the past, Noel has made no secret of his distaste for reality telly. Earlier this year he said: "I don't want to come over as arrogant, but it does seem very peculiar you can be the subject of a reality show and the next minute you're touted around as a major TV star.
"We have seen, with very few exceptions, that these people don't last long. This is a hugely competitive industry and I think it's become more competitive since the days of House Party." Yet bosses are hoping that Noel has had a change of heart and will accept their money-spinning offer. Our source said: "They believe they can talk Noel round.
"They see him as their secret weapon in their ratings war against ITV shows like Love Island and Celebrity X Factor.
"But if they can't convince Noel they'll be looking for another household name, like Bruce Forsyth to make a surprise entrance." In this year's Celebrity BB, Sir Jimmy Saville got housemates to write him a "wish" letter, mimicking his Jim'll Fix It.
Noel Edmonds has repeatedly drawn more than four million viewers to Channel 4 since he began presenting Deal Or No Deal last year.
It is his first major TV project since his BBC show Noel's House Party in 1999.
Last night a Big Brother spokesman said: "I can't confirm or deny any names at this stage."
